Sally B. Herstedt (Wermeling)

We were recently notified of the passing of Sally HERSTEDT Wermeling.

Her funeral will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 8760-37 Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53142 on Thursday,  April 18, 2024.  Visitation at the Church is from 9 AM to 10:30 AM with her Service at 10:30 AM.

Sally Herstedt, 77, of Kenosha, unexpectedly and peacefully, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Sally was born in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Henry and Mildred.Herstedt.

Sally was a 1964 Bradford HS graduate.   Sally married Ken Wermeling.  She worked as an office employee of American Motors and later became a working mother at Big Boy on 75th.  Sally later went back to secretarial work for nearly 30 years, achieving Assistant to the President of Jupiter Transportation (Dallas-Maverick, KAT & ATC) where  Kenosha made cars and parts were tthen transported across the world.

Sally was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, a bowler, a proud softball and band wife and mother, a crafter and sewer at the Kenosha Senior Center, and crafter for the Danish Brotherhood's annual craft fair.

Survivors include her son, Tim Wermeling of Kenosha/Chicago, five grandchildren, and her sister Susan Herstedt.  Sally was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Karl and Thomas Herstedt, and her beloved daughter, Laurie Wermeling

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at St. Pauls' Luthern Church, Kenosha, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM with her funeral service at 10:30 AM.
