Mary Lou Homes, 79, of Kenosha passed away on April 25, 2026 at Froedert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Lou was born on November 8, 1946 in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Earl and Freida (Erhardt) Nelson.  She was educated in the schools of Kenosha graduating from Bradford High School.  Mary Lou married Robert Edward Homes on October 5, 1968 in Kenosha.  She worked at Snap-On Tools for years before becoming a devoted mother to her two sons and created a loving environment for her family.

She is survived by her son, Brian Homes of Kenosha.  Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Homes and her son, Robert Earl Homes.

A visitation will be held at Kenosha Funeral Services, 8226 Sheridan Road, Kenosha, WI 53143 on Friday,    May 8, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with funeral services to follow immediately at 12:00 PM.  Private burial will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetary.
