In Memory

Carole Kirby (Fechner)

She was born on July 26, 1946 to Nancy Dederih and James Kirby.  From a young age, Carole shouldered responsibility beyond her years.  Despite this, or maybe because of it, Carole retained a childlike sense of fun and mischief her entire life.

Carole is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ron Fechner; daughters: Julie Shilhavy, Kristen (Matthew) McDaniel and Stefanie (John DeYoung) Staton; sister, Lila (Fred) Kirby-Chubrilo;  brothers: Jim (Linda) and Bill (Teri) Kirby; stepfather, Lee Dederich; grandsons: Justin Tawwater, Joshua Shilhavey and Matthew McDaniel Jr;  great grandson, Dustyn McDaniel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Dederih and James Kirby, sister Janice Johnson, and her daughter Julie Fechner and grandson "Baby Matt" McDaniel, both in infancy.

Funeral services for Carole will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 8760-37 Avenue, Kenosha.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church.  Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
