Graduated from Carthage college in 1969 and went to work in retail for 5 years with Topps and Zayre discount store and that is where I met my future wife. I took a test and got a job with the state of Illinois. This was to be for a short time and 37 years later, four other jobs in two different departments with the state of Illinois I worked as a social worker, a family support specialist, then a tax auditor and the last 10 years as a Tax Audit Supervisor. I retired on 12/31/11. I do woodworking in my spare time and refinish furniture to keep me busy.

School Story

I remember in high school where we: Larry Weiss, Tim Margetson, Bill Mikolyzk and Allen Becker would get together on Friday or Saturday nights and play pinochle. If it was not for being a locker partner with Larry Weiss, I probably would not have made it through high school with friends at all. I had good friends in Gordie Hess, Chuck Lange, Bill Mikolyzk, Bill Becker and 16" softball teammates.

I am sorry that I am 1 day late but, hope you had a very nice day, since this is a crazy time right now. It was nice seeing you at the reunion and I meant to ask about your sister. Be careful and stay safe.

I am so sorry to learn that Patricia Cesario Keating has passed. I did not know heras well as I do Tom Keating. We refed softball and played 16 inch softball together. I know he will miss her deeply since i went through the same thing when my wife died in 2016. I wish him well, his children and step children and I will make sure to have them in my prayers.

Sorry for the lost of another classmate!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jane and many more. Hope you and Gordy are doing well. It was very nice to see you both at the reunion. Are you enjoying the "Stay At Home"? Since I have 2 of the conditions for the virus, I am home a lot more. Hope you and Gordy have a great day planned.

Well I had my surgery today which took about 1/2 hour and 2 hours to re-coup. Still have to wear my boot at all times and have a follow up visit next week, so driving is OUT. Sorry about Saturday since I thought the time to start at the boat house was 8:00 pm and found the e-mail that it was at 6:00 pm. I do NOT remember if I said I would attend if you wanted company, but it was probably better I messed on the time since I was very tired and fell asleep in my chair Saturday night. At least I gave you more time for yourself. But thanks for being my driver Friday night. Maybe we can see you bowl when I am able to drive myself.

I just want to thank you and Diane so that we could sit together and catch up on current events. You both looked great and Bill, you did a nice job on the dance floor. You left earlier and were not able to see this one legged cripple dance with Shirley Heppel and Marti Patrick. Had to be somewhat fast dance as I was afraid I might step on their feet with my boot. I guess the Saturday's events were canceled due to weather, because I never heard from Larry as he would have been my driver. It was great to see the FOUR AMIGOS together again and I hope Diane got some nice pictures. Again THANKS for a good time.

Beth it was nice seeing you and getting to have some conversations as you were busy with the women group at the table. We at least got to take a picture of the old Jeffery gang and it will be very nice to see. I kind of knew that with Wanda she would NOT let the evening go without some type of photo of us and seeing all of us in the same palce and time. Hope life is treating you well and wish the best.

Dale it was very nice to see and talk to you and Karla. Your mind is still sharp and I am very sorry to show you my toe pictures, I guess they might be a little more graphic than some people can take. It was nice for Wanda to get the old Jeffery gang together and hope she sends me a picture. I really enjoyed the evening and hard to believe that it has been 55 years from life was a LOT simpler and not as many grownup problems. Wish you and Karla a happy and fruitful life.

Jane I would like to take sometime to thank you and the rest of the reunion group, you all did a GREAT JOB. Wish I had more time to talk to you and Gordy, but I know that you were very business. I thought I got an e-mail from you for a possible night at the boathouse, but I could NOT find it and my driver did not call me if it was still on. I thought it might be the weather that may have canceled the event. But I really enjoyed the evening.
The whole committee deserve a round of applause, GREAT JOB.

Hey, Buzz it was very nice seeing you and your wife and hope life is treating you both well. Wish we had more time to talk and maybe get a chance to have lunch in the near future. If you got some good pictures, keep me in mind for possible copies. Take care. THANKS AGAIN..

It was very nice seeing and talking to you and the old gang from Jeffery elementary school and I hope everything went well with you last night and hope your life is good. Wish we could have talked a little more about the old neighborhood and how life is treating you. Take care and wish the best for you and your family.

THANK YOU for talking to me and not holding the last reunion against me. I enjoyed our conversation and thank you for allowing a dance with me. Was hoping to see you again tonight, but I do not know what happened. My driver found another companion or the event was maybe cancelled due to weather. But again THANK YOU for a belated dance and hope all goes well with you and your family.

Shirley I would like thank you for the dance and having our conversations. I was hoping to have something at the boat house, but either weather or my drive found another companion. But it was very nice to talk to you and I hope life stays good for you, your kids and grandkids. THANK YOU
