Kathryn Goodwin Philo passed away on December 31, 2018. The following information was provided by her family from the GoFundMe page her family set up.
"Hello Friends and Family. With much heartbreak, I am writing to inform you all that Kathryn Philo passed away on December 31 at 5:50 pm. We brought her home from her assisted living facility to transition back home to God and in a place of peace and love with her family. She was surrounded by her husbanad, Steve and sons, Jason, Nate and Ian, daughter-in law, Kathy and grandson, Deacon. We know she is dancing and running in Heaven. We would love for any of you to attend her burial and/or memorial. We want to celebrate what an amazing life she had. She was loved by so many people and changed many lives for the better. We are continuing to raise funds for her accrued care costs and now funeral expenses. Thank you to all."

I knew Kathy from Washington Jr. High and Bradford. She also worked at Walgreens with my mom. She was a really sweet person and I know she will be missed by her family and friends.Roger O. Dubois
I also went to Washington junior high and she was in some classes with me. She was a great person, friendly kind. and caring person. I am sorry to hear of her health problem and wish Steve and her family that she is in a better place. I know hoe it feels as my wife died 3 years ago in February. My prayers are with all of her family.
I wish I could be there and all GODs blessing.

Sad news to hear of Kathy's passing. She lived a few blocks from me and we both went to Washington. Her father and mine both worked at MacWhyte, so I would see her at the company picnics. We both had a great time at them. She had to be one of the nicest, kindest and giving persons I ever knew. In high school we were in choir together. She will be missed.

Sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. I also went through Washington Jr and Bradford with Kathy. Always admired her ability to make friends and be involved in many of the clubs and events she was involved in. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I, too, knew Kathy from Washington Jr. High and then through the years at Bradford. Everyone, I think, knew her as kind and friendly without hesitation or consideration of where you might stand on the social "in" scale. If there is anyone who might be called the Sweetheart of Bradford (rather than Sigma Chi), it would be her. The world is less without her.

I read Sweetheart in reference to Kathy by someone else commenting. How fitting. Many of us came up from Grant to Washington to Bradford with Kathy. She never changed. The various choral and singing groups at Bradford were great for all of us fortunate enough to participate. Kathy had that sweet soprano voice. Her touch and life made all things better.
